Who do you think should be the recipient of the 2016 Equity New Zealand Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Ryman?
Dame Kate Harcourt accepts in 2015 Equity New Zealand Lifetime Achievement Award
This unique award has been established to honour the achievements of a leading New Zealand performer who has had a distinguished career and been an inspiration to other New Zealand performers.
It is an award nominated by performers – an opportunity for those in the industry to give due recognition to one of their own; not only for what they have achieved during their career as a performer, but as someone who has, by their own example, demonstrated great leadership and provided mentoring that has been of enormous benefit and inspiration to our colleagues. They have made a lifelong commitment to Equity and the industry as a whole and the kind of person everyone wants to work with and for those lucky to have done so, it has been an extraordinarily memorable experience.
Last year’s recipient was Dame Kate Harcourt. Dame Kate’s professional career began in the 1960s on children’s radio programs. Over the last five decades Dame Kate has worked extensively in film, theatre, television and radio.
Is there someone you feel is an incredible, talented and generous performer but also known as a great mentor and a supporter of the next generation?
Nominations have closed on Monday, August 1, 2016. The final decision will be made by your Equity New Zealand Board.
This award is proudly supported by Ryman Healthcare.
