Who do you think should be the recipient of the 2019 Equity New Zealand Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Ryman?
This unique award has been established to honour the achievements of a leading New Zealand performer who has had a distinguished career and been an inspiration to other New Zealand performers.
It is an award nominated by performers – an opportunity for those in the industry to give due recognition to one of their own; not only for what they have achieved during their career as a performer, but as someone who has, by their own example, demonstrated great leadership and provided mentoring that has been of enormous benefit and inspiration to our colleagues. They have made a lifelong commitment to Equity and the industry as a whole and the kind of person everyone wants to work with and for those lucky to have done so, it has been an extraordinarily memorable experience.
Last year’s recipient was George Henare. During a distinguished career spanning 50 years, George has been seen on stage, film, and television, and heard on radio and talking book.
Is there someone you feel is an incredible, talented and generous performer but also known as a great mentor and a supporter of the next generation?
The final decision will be made by your Equity New Zealand Board.
