Using sonnets, prologues, monologues and segments of scenes, Glenda will be coach attendees to:

             open the text for meaning

             discover how the language connects to them personally

             discover the point where your heart starts to beat with passion and why

             channel that energy into action

             meet the metaphysical poetic form and understand the challenge for contemporary actors

             discover that Form is Content

Bio of host: Glenda is an actress with extensive experience in film, television, theatre and radio as a performer, director, dramaturge, actor's coach and trainer. PERFORMER

Film/TV Credits: In 2012/2013 she appeared in Channel 9’s Underbelly Files: Infiltration, and as ‘Lily Patterson’ in Channel 7’s Winners and Losers, Neighbours and is currently filming Miss Phryne Fisher Murder Mysteries. She is best known to audiences for her role as ‘Rita Connors’, the bikie chick in Prisoner, for which she won a Penguin Award for Best Actress, and also as Dr. Imogen “Tootsie” Soames in Channel 9's Murder Call. She appears in the short film A Fairytale Life which is currently enjoying screenings around the world in short film festivals. Theatre credits: Glenda has worked for many companies around Australia and has played lead roles in Australian national tours. Theatre highlights include: Hate at The Malthouse, Shadow Passion and Bad Blood Blues at Chapel off Chapel, Cogito at La Mama; in Brisbane Secret Bridesmaids Business for Mixed Company; National tours of Shirley Valentine, Steaming, Daylight Saving, Terence Rattigan Double Bill with Paul Eddington; in Sydney Angels in America and Women of Troy for the STC; Communicating Doors, Crimes of the Heart and Dinner with Friends for the Marian Street Theatre; Speaking in Tongues, Season of Shorts, Pushin’ up Daisies for Griffin Theatre Company.

Radio Credits: Glenda has worked for many years as a recording artist for features, poetry programs, book readings and dramas all for ABC radio. The most recent being an autobiography for Radio National’s First Person Dibs in Search of Self, then for ABC Radio Drama and Aurora Calling : A Joint Observation,China and The Fox. DIRECTOR/DRAMATURGE (recent): In 2010- 2012 One act musical based on Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince for VCA Music Theatre. Co–wrote and directed a short film Game with Harli Ames.

Love Your Poison by Melbourne playwright Christine Croyden for Melbourne Writers Theatre in 2010.

2013: She is currently working on Christine's new play with her How to Survive and Earthquake which will has been selected for performance at La Mama in August.
