Screen Acting Principles from a Guest Role Perspective with Alison Bell
An opportunity to work with actor Alison Bell on your camera and performance skills with an emphasis on the TV guest role perspective. Guest TV roles require actors to adapt quickly to a new environment and be on target with little preparation. This workshop will help you navigate your camera technique, camera screen work and performance and presentation. Actors will be required to learn one scene in preparation.
Bio of host: Alison Bell is a graduate of the VCA. Since completing her training she has worked consistently in the industry. She regularly appears on the stage for the MTC, Belvoir Theatre, Malthouse, STC and STCSA. Her theatre work has earned her Helpmann and Green Room Awards as well as several nominations. She is however, perhaps best known for her performance in the AACTA award winning comedy series, Laid. Her work was recognised with a best comedy performer AACTA nomination, an IF award nomination and a Monte Carlo International TV festival award nomination. She has also appeared in many popular tv series including, Offspring, Mr & Mrs Murder, Mrs Biggs, I Rock, Packed to the Rafters, Rush and City Homicide.
