In this two hour workshop, Patrick will give advice about the voiceover industry in Adelaide and how you might break in. Then you’ll share scripts to work on and Patrick will listen and assist with your technique.
Bio of host:
Patrick began his career in University theatre in the late 1960’s and eventually joined the first South Australian Theatre Company ensemble at The Playhouse, touring Australia in 1975 with David Williamson’s “The Department”. Patrick has featured in seasons for the Melbourne Theatre Company and toured nationally for the Sydney Theatre Company. He has been part of State Theatre SA productions for over 30 years. Patrick had recent success in 2014 in the title role of “Macbeth” for Foul Play. Patrick’s screen credits include “The Sullivans”, “Blue Heelers”, “Neighbours”, “McLeod’s Daughters”, “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Shut up Little Man!–an Audio Misadventure”, “Deadline Gallipoli” and more recently “Indelible” – the story of Tim Conigrave and John Caleo. He was the narrator for the documentary on the Greco-Spartan Wars “The First War for the West” and is currently on air in the MAC “Keep the Bromance Alive” campaign and in many radio ads, including “Bay Waters Retirement Homes” and the “Adelaide Casino”. Patrick has been a proud member of Equity for 42 years. He is currently the State President (Equity) for the MEAA.
