She’s an instructor at the Howard Fine Acting Studio-Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia where she is also the Director of the Acting Program. In LA, she also teaches at the Ted Brunetti Studio, NC’s Elon University’s program “Elon in LA”, and coaches in person and by Skype. Marilyn McIntyre is an actor and teacher and coaches privately at the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Hollywood and in Melbourne, Australia. She also teaches at the Ted Brunetti Studio (on-camera), the SAG-AFTRA Hollywood Conservatory at AFI, and is the Coordinator of the Acting Program for “Elon in LA: Climbing the LAdder” (Elon University, NC). She has taught at California State University-Northridge (CSUN), the Old Globe/U of San Diego MFA Program, University of Southern California, University of Texas-Austin, Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, among others. In New York, she studied at HB Studios, and with Michael Shurtleff. In Los Angeles, Marilyn had the privilege of studying with Uta Hagen in her Master Class and is featured on Ms. Hagen’s teaching video, “Uta Hagen’s Acting Class” doing “Object Exercise #10: Historical Imagination”, playing ‘Charlotta’ from The Cherry Orchard. Marilyn coaches privately for theatre, film and television - from script analysis to the audition through finessing a role already in production. Ms. McIntyre is an award-winning actor whose credits include leading roles on and off Broadway, regionally (South Coast Rep, Mark Taper Forum, Alley Theatre, Utah Shakespeare, et al) and in Los Angeles where she has garnered multiple Ovation, LA Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, and BackStage Garlands awards and several nominations for her work. Ms. McIntyre’s numerous TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Cold Case, Watch Over Me (series regular), Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Judging Amy, X-Files, The Profiler, LA Law, et al. Film credits include Kurt Kuenne’s Shuffle (with TJ Thyne, Bones,) Heaven’s Rain (opp. Mike Vogel, The Help), On Holiday (opp. Harry Dean Stanton), First Daughter, Ring 2, Peter Berg’s Very Bad Things, and the hit short, George Lucas in Love, among others. She starred in the festival favorite short, Into The Unknown.
