The Equity Foundation hosts more than 100 events a year throughout Australia and New Zealand. The program is developed in close collaboration with performers.

Masterclasses
The Equity Foundation's masterclasses are designed to address our members’ need for ongoing professional development and provide rare opportunities to work with leading directors, coaches and casting agents.
Workshops
Our workshop series is an opportunity to work on specifics, such as acting for the camera, comedy, dancing, voiceovers and accents. Up to 10 members work over a two-hour period with an expert in their field.
In Conversation
As part of the foundation’s In Conversation series, performers are given the opportunity to attend an intimate question and answer session with leading international actors and directors. Sir Ian McKellen, Richard E Grant, Sam Neill, and Cate Blanchett are among those who have participated in the In Conversation events.
Casting Hothouse 
Each year the Equity Foundation hosts a Casting Hothouse, which gives performers a unique opportunity to work with international casting agents, such as CBS TV Studios’ vice president of casting Matt Skrobalak and US feature film casting director Margery Simkin.
Student Days
We know how difficult it can be getting a toehold in the entertainment industry, so each year the Equity Foundation holds an industry day designed to provide graduates with important information and tools to help them on their way to a successful performance career.

The Chubbuck Technique With Lyndelle Green

Event description:

This workshop will give participants an overview of the ‘Chubbuck technique’; a look at some of the key exercises and time to apply the technique to a short script. Lyndelle has continued to train herself most recently in the Lee Strasberg method and in a Master Class with New York based Coach Susan Batson. She has also spent time observing renowned acting coach Larry Moss work with actors. All of these experiences will inform the day’s workshop.

Bio of host:

Lyndelle is a passionate acting coach with 20 years experience in the Performing Arts Industry. Lyndelle initially trained as a High School Drama teacher and has worked as Head of Drama at various senior schools, which included directing many successful Musicals and Theatre Productions in Qld and NSW. Lyndelle continued to train as an actor with QUT’s Andrew Buchanan, at NIDA, and at The Actor’s Centre. She has also trained in Los Angeles with Scott Sedita, at The Second City’ in Hollywood, and at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. Lyndelle’s expertise has often been called upon for speaking appearances at industry conferences, and as a director for theatre companies in both Sydney and Brisbane.Recognition for Lyndelle’s coaching work with students at Macquarie University came when she won the ‘Vice Chancellor’s Award for Innovation in Learning’.  Lyndelle has appeared in film and on television, as well as making regular appearances on stage for a wide variety of theatre companies. Lyndelle has also worked in the corporate environment running specialised training workshops.  As an acting coach and tutor, Lyndelle has trained actors at Rossi Casting Group, Brent Street Studios, The Australian Theatre for Young People, Screenwise Film and Television School, 16th Street Actor’s Studio and the Film and Television Studio International.  Lyndelle underwent six months’ extensive training at the Ivana Chubbuck studio in Los Angeles, emerging as an accredited teacher of the Chubbuck technique. Following her accreditation, Ivana Chubbuck said “Lyndelle is an amazing teacher and has a real gift; both as a teacher and an actress”. Lyndelle continues her training by participating in master classes most recently working again with Ivana Chubbuck and New York based Acting Coach Susan Batson.
