Synopsis

This is chance for four Equity NZ members to work in pairs with New Zealand casting director Mike Dwyer  during a zoom livestream.  Mike will provide scripts and you will prepare as if doing an online audition. Please note: There will be other actors observing (auditing) this class.  Unsuccessful applicants will be sent a Zoom link to observe this class. This event will take place on Wednesday 25th September at 10.30am (NZ time).

  • Mike Dwyer

    Mike originally trained as an actor in London and then New Zealand. He  spent a decade performing in theatre, TV and film and touring theatre shows in Europe. Mike has run Barefoot Casting Studio in Auckland for nearly 20 years, casting national & international feature films, TV shows and TV commercials.  As well as an in-demand casting director Mike is an experienced on-screen acting tutor."I want to inspire actors with the possibilities, joy and sheer almightiness of taking on the industry on their own terms with their own weapons of creation".
