In this class, Kym Jackson walks you through proven methods for breaking down a scene, building a character from the ground up, locking in your lines, and showing up to your next film & TV audition or shoot fully prepared and ready to deliver.

This is an opportunity for six Equity members (and their chosen partner) to work with Angela Blake over three 90-minute livestream sessions to create a short film (via a smart phone).

Equity members are invited to observe/audit our upcoming How to Make a Short Film Three-Part Workshop series with Angela Blake as she works with 6 pairs of actors on their short films.

This livestream workshop will cover all the essentials you need to get the basics of creative business right, and avoid some of the most common pitfalls that artists can experience when entering the world of self-employment and freelancing.

This is an opportunity for the established industry to warmly welcome this year’s final-year performing arts graduates as you step into professional life.

Creatives are often told to “make their own work” – but that means learning how to produce a project from beginning to end, which is a huge responsibility and a daunting prospect. Make Your Own Work is a comprehensive workshop that addresses every aspect of taking an initial idea and turning it into a completed event, film, game, exhibition or anything!
