Synopsis

This workshop equips actors with the essential knowledge of hair and makeup for both self-tapes and in-person auditions. Participants will learn practical techniques that ensure they look professional, camera-ready, and aligned with the character they are portraying. Designed for both men and women, the session focuses on enhancing natural features, understanding how makeup translates on screen, and creating a polished appearance that supports rather than distracts from performance. By mastering these skills, actors gain greater confidence and control over their presentation, giving them a competitive edge in today’s audition landscape.  Please note: This is event is at 12pm (AEDT) (Sydney/Melbourne time) and 2pm NZ time.   • Natalia Ladyko

    Natalia Ladyko is a multidisciplinary artist with over 15 years of experience across acting, film, television, and visual storytelling. A graduate of QUT’s acting program, she has toured nationally and internationally as a performer, bringing a dynamic presence to both stage and screen. Alongside her career as an actor, Natalia pursued her love of film, television, and the visual arts through advanced training in makeup, hairstyling, and special effects makeup. She has worked as both an additional artist and core team member on major national and international productions, including Voltron, King Kong, Last Days of the Space Age, and projects with ABC TV. Her dual expertise allows her to bridge the gap between performance and presentation, equipping actors with the practical skills to feel confident and camera-ready. As a makeup artist, actor, and photographer, Natalia brings a unique, holistic approach to teaching — one that empowers performers to embody their characters fully while understanding the technical demands of the industry.
