This is chance for up to 5 Equity members to work on a scene of their choosing with US casting director Jeanie Bacharach during a zoom audition skills livestream. The actors will be paired with one of the other actors who will read with them and get feedback from Jeanie. Please note: There will be other actors observing (auditing) this class. Successful applicants will be provided instructions so you have the chance to learn the scenes in advance (and possibly rehearse with your onscreen partner). Unsuccessful applicants will be sent a Zoom link to observe this class. Those who apply to participate do not need to apply to audit as you will be sent the Zoom link automatically. This event will take place at 10am Australian Eastern Standard NSW/VIC/QLD/TAS time.

Jeanie Bacharach
Jeanie Bacharach is an Emmy Winning and 7 time Emmy nominated casting director. She began her career working in the theatre in NYC, casting for shows at Lincoln Center and Manhattan Theatre Club. She has been casting primarily for television in Los Angeles for the past twenty-plus years, most recently on "The Bear" (Hulu) for which she is currently nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series, "Station Eleven" (HBO Max), "The Dropout" (Hulu), "The Patient" (FX) and the upcoming limited series "Presumed Innocent" (Apple TV+). Her previous work includes the original casting for "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", (for which she won the Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series), "Snowfall" (FX), "Nashville", "Ally McBeal", "Judging Amy", "Brothers and Sisters", "Manhattan", "Preacher" and the Hulu series "Castle Rock". Having started out as an actress, albeit briefly, she very much enjoys the creative and collaborative process of casting and working with actors. It is her personal mission on every project to make the room as conducive to actors doing their best work as possible.
