Synopsis

  •  22 June 2022
     12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

In this two hour masterclass, acclaimed acting coach and actor Anthony Brandon Wong will focus on two areas. In the first hour, Anthony will explore tools to help actors and creatives build a  SUCCESS MINDSET FOR ARTISTS: We will learn a simple but powerful process for stepping back from disempowering beliefs about ourselves as artists and about the industry and replace them with positive, confidence-boosting beliefs. In the second hour of the class we will explore ACTING ALCHEMY: How to turn words on a page into a deeply felt experience. So often as actors we pick up a script, and we can’t relate to it or we feel like we are just saying lines, devoid of any real emotional connection to the material. What tools can we use to make a writer’s words feel true and real to us as actors? Anthony will lead us through several practical acting tools like imagery and inner monologue to help actors connect on a deep level to what they are saying and hearing in a scene. Please note: This event will take place from 12-2pm Australian Eastern Standard (NSW/VIC/QLD/TAS) time and 2-4pm NZ time.
