Synopsis

Great acting starts with physical life. It is your body which gives your work authenticity. The Alexander Technique empowers you and grounds your work by identifying and removing excessive and unwanted postural and movement habits which limit your performance. Ease and freedom open your instrument (body) allowing optimal breath and resonance in your voice. It also enables easy access to your characters-their spontaneity, presence and emotions. As a performer, your connections to scene partners, lines and the audience are readily available. Come and explore this empowering Technique which is used by many international actors to launch and sustain their long careers. Successful attendees will need to wear comfy clothing, bring a monologue of a paragraph length and bring four books.
