An opportunity  to audit (observe) Simon Burke and Daniel Edmonds' Online Audition Masterclasses for singing actors on either May 28 or May 29. Each singer will prepare an "audition cut" of 2 songs each will sing for the group (as well auditors). Daniel and Simon will then provide generous and constructive feedback.  Daniel Edmonds is a music director, composer, and pianist. In the theatre, he was the musical director and conductor for the world premiere of musicals King Kong, Strictly Ballroom and Dream Lover.  Please note: 12pm is Australian Eastern Standard Time. Selection is by ballot and successful participants will be sent details about how to tune it.


  • Simon Burke

    One of Australia’s most respected and accomplished stage and screen performers, Simon has appeared in over 130 stage productions in Australia and the UK. In London's West End he starred as Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Carl-Magnus in A Little Night Music opposite Dame Judi Dench, Georges in La Cage Aux Folles opposite John Barrowman, and in the European premieres of Holding the Man and When The Rain Stops Falling. He has recently appeared in The Wharf Revue and Mary Stuart (STC), Noises Off (MTC & QTC) The Misanthrope (Bell Shakespeare) and Catch Me If You Can (Hayes). Other Australian musical theatre highlights include Marius in the original Australian cast of Les Miserables, Billy in Anything Goes (Green Room Award Best Actor in a musical), Billy Flynn in Chicago, Dexter in High Society, Vernon in They're Playing Our Song, Whizzer in Falsettos., and Mr Banks in Disney's Mary Poppins. In June 2015 he was awarded the AO (Officer of the Order of Australia) in the Queen's Birthday Honours for distinguished service to the performing arts as an actor, singer and producer.
