‘BBC English’, ‘The Queen’s English’, ‘Oxford English’… for so long Received Pronunciation (RP) has been the ‘standard’ English accent required for actors, but today there are definitely some other more contemporary options that actors are needing to add to their toolkit. Join Lisa Dallinger in this workshop for an opportunity to investigate what is often known as an Estuary English accent. The session will aim to unpack the accent and its context, as well as offer practical exploration of some of the accent’s key features. Please note: this is a rescheduled event and all those who have originally registered don’t need to re-apply.
