For actors looking to break into the Australian television industry, this class takes an in depth look at the casting process, how to secure more suitable auditions, callback advice and more. Oftentimes, your first television credit is the hardest to secure, so by sharing methods for gaining that elusive first role, actors will be equipped to continue to build a flourishing career. This class is also suitable for anyone who hasn’t booked a TV role in a while or is looking to return after a break from the industry.

Emily Joy
Emily Joy (she/her) is the owner of Joy Studio, a boutique acting & career coaching service in Naarm. Emily's actors have secured lead and support roles in many professional productions including Disney+, Amazon Prime, Paramount+, Stan, Netflix, ABC, and SBS. Emily's own acting credits include a series regular role in the Nine drama Human Error, as well as guest roles in Neighbours and Fisk. Emily has assisted casting sessions for Telford Leonard Casting, Greg Apps Casting and been a reader for McGregor Casting and Nathan Lloyd Casting. Emily has lectured at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Canberra, and Howard Fine Acting Studio.
