Join MEAA Equity’s senior industrial officer, Miles Hunt and Equity Industrial Officer, Tess Chappell, for an information session on:
- Breaking down contracts and deal memos, MEAA basic rates, what to look for, what coverage periods and territories mean
- If you’re doing a project for a streamer, what should you be looking for to make sure you’re getting the right compensation
- The role of agents in negotiating contracts / deal memos with producers
- Understanding pay slips, deal memos, and invoices – superannuation, tax and contractor arrangements.

Miles Hunt
Miles Hunt is a National Industrial Officer working within Equity at MEAA. He deals with industrial issues for members (individually and collectively) and negotiates agreements (for film and TV) on behalf of members. He was a Personal Injury Lawyer for 10 years and has been working in screen at MEAA for the last 6 years. He is currently negotiating the screen agreements with Screen producers Australia while helping to deal with the threat of AI in our industry.
