Synopsis

In this livestream workshop, you’ll discover foundational techniques for developing character voices for video games. Twelve actors will receive scripts beforehand to present during the session. They will learn and apply vocal techniques and tools to bring their characters to life. This workshop is limited to 12 actors and is open to auditors. Given the immense popularity of video games as an entertainment genre, this workshop aims to equip actors with the skills to create compelling characters, utilising effective voice development tools and performance techniques. Please note: This class will take place online at 12pm AEST and 2pm NZ time.

  • Dianne Weller

    Dianne Weller trained as an actor here in Australia in the 90s before embarking on an international career in acting and voice over. She won a coveted Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) award in the US for her performance in the VR Game Hubris. She has been working in the Video Game industry for the last 7 years on Titles like Wolfenstein Youngblood, Elite Dangerous and Home Sweet Home. Dianne is passionate about the Video Games industry and how actors can work with Directors and Game Developers to bring amazing characters to life.
