The Screen Diversity Showcase is bringing together the top industrial representatives from Equity, the Australian Directors’ Guild and the Australian Writers’ Guild to discuss how we, as artists, can best safeguard our work. This panel discussion will function as a live Q&A where participants have the opportunity to ask the panel about all matters industrial and legal including; contracts, rates, bargaining and intellectual property. Please join us to find out more about how your union and guilds operate, and how you can get the most out of your membership.

  • Alaric McAusland

    Alaric McAusland is Executive Director of The Australian Directors’ Guild, the registered union and industry association representing the interests of film, television and digital media directors, documentary makers and animators throughout Australia.
  • Miles Hunt

    Miles Hunt is a National Industrial Officer working within Equity at MEAA. He deals with industrial issues for members (individually and collectively) and negotiates agreements (for film and TV) on behalf of members. He was a Personal Injury Lawyer for 10 years and has been working in screen at MEAA for the last 6 years. He is currently negotiating the screen agreements with Screen producers Australia while helping to deal with the threat of AI in our industry.
  • Bryant Apolonio

    Bryant Apolonio is the Senior Industrial Officer at the Australian Writers’ Guild. He manages the AWG’s industrial projects, as well as its contract review and industrial advice services.
  • Greg Duffy

    Greg Duffy is a partner at Frankel Lawyers, specialising in intellectual property and commercial contracts.
