There are many options an actor can choose when preparing a scene. But … what is the ‘right’ one?  How do you know?  How can you measure the value of your choice? Why do casting directors say that 70% - 95% of actors make the wrong choice for their first run of a scene? Explore very practical answers to these universal questions with veteran director and acting coach Richard Sarell.

  • Richard Sarell

Richard Sarell is a highly regarded actors’ director. He started out at ABC-TV in Melbourne directing many prime-time TV dramas. Long stints with 'Neighbours', 'A Country Practice' and 'Home and Away' followed. Over the next thirty years he directed two hundred and twenty hours of productions including live theatre and one hundred and seventy-five hours of TV drama. During that time, he developed the unique acting techniques known as The Rehearsal Room acting process. He now teaches this process to actors around the world. It is so effective that actors who first studied with him sixteen years ago continue to return to classes. That’s because they can measure their ongoing improvement. Richard’s book “ACTING REVOLUTION” is about to be published.
