Making the Text Your Own with Natasha McNamara

This will be a practical workshop where we will explore text, character and situation, physically and vocally. How do we as actors make the text our own? How do we inhabit the words we speak, and sound authentic? We will look at scoring the text for breath, marking the vowel length for the emotion – using the consonants to find the intellect and exploring the images with sensory work as well as using Laban to explores the rhythms of the text.
