Synopsis

This is chance for five Equity NZ members to work in pairs with New Zealand casting director Miranda Rivers  during a zoom livestream.  Miranda will provide scripts and you will prepare as if doing an online audition. Please note: There will be other actors observing (auditing) this class.  Unsuccessful applicants will be sent a Zoom link to observe this class. This event will take place on Wednesday 21st August at 10am (NZ time).

    Miranda Rivers is a Casting Director and co-founder of The Casting Company based in Aotearoa NZ. She is known for her work on the Avatar films, Hobbit trilogies, M3gan, Juniper, Daffodils, Slow West, The Rehearsal and The New Legends of Monkey. Recent credits include the tv series Time Bandits and two NZ features about to be released, Bookworm (Ant Timpson) and A Mistake (Christine Jeffs.) She is passionate about connecting creative teams together and about improving mental well-being for the screen sector. Miranda is an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor alongside her casting mahi.
