This an opportunity to hear from leading producer Imogen Banks (Fake, Safe Home, Offspring, Paper Giants) when she joins award-winning actor and MEAA Equity member Danielle Cormack to talk about the actor/producer relationship, the current screen landscape, what goes on behind the scenes of a screen production before actors are cast, what is involved in the producing side of things on a day to day basis, the best ways to navigate the actor/producer relationship, casting, self-taping, rehearsing and much more. There will be plenty of time for audience questions. Please note: This livestream will take place at 12pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time. 2pm NZ Time. You will be sent a Zoom link before the event.

Imogen Banks
Imogen Banks is an acclaimed creator and producer, best known for the wildly popular Network Ten series OFFSPRING which over seven series garnered multiple TV Week Logie, AFI, and AACTA Awards, including a Gold Logie for Asher Keddie and in 2020 took home the popularly voted AACTA award for Show of the Decade.With John Edwards, Imogen developed and produced the SHOWTIME showcase series TANGLE; for Network Ten PUBERTY BLUES and PARTY TRICKS; and GALLIPOLI for the Nine Network. For the ABC, Imogen developed the mini-series PAPER GIANTS and produced THE BEAUTIFUL LIE, starring Sarah Snook.Through her drama division of Endemol Shine Australia, Imogen co-created and produced SISTERS for Network Ten, and RFDS for the Seven Network, now in its third season. Banks also developed and ran an initiative for emerging female writers, in collaboration with Alice Bell, which spawned multiple careers and projects, including the Netflix hit series ECHOES, written by Vanessa Gazy.In 2021 Imogen founded independent production company, Kindling Pictures, with its debut project SAFE HOME starring Aisha Dee, premiering to critical acclaim on SBS and streaming on HULU internationally.Kindling Pictures’ most recent production FAKE, starring Asher Keddie and David Wenham, premiered on Paramount + last year. Fake is a gripping series that has captivated viewers with its bold storytelling and high production values and has been the streamer’s most successful Australian drama launch, to date.
Danielle Cormack
Danielle Cormack is a Producer, Director and award winning actor with an impressive stage and screen career spanning decades. From 70s hippies to Amazonian warriors, she has portrayed diverse roles in films such as "Topless Women Talk About Their Lives," "The Price of Milk," and "Via Satellite." Beginning on stage, Cormack has gained recognition both in Australia and New Zealand working for MainStage and independent theatre companies. She has received acclaim for her work across all mediums especially in notable TV shows like “Secret City” "Rake" "Underbelly:Razor" and "Wentworth." In 2017 Cormack co-founded Four One One Productions for which she co-produced and directed the 2025 AACTA nominated short film “Why we Fight”. She is slated to star in and Executive Produce the feature film “Who’s Afraid” that is based on the stage play of the same name that she co-created. After wrapping season 3 of The Twelve she is developing her first feature, which she will direct and has co-written. Currently titled IN THE WAKE - it is a New Zealand/German co-production. She also does costume design, making her a multifaceted presence in the entertainment industry.
