Synopsis

This is an opportunity to hear from Australian actor Christopher Chung about being part of the extraordinary ensemble of actors on the Emmy Award-winning Apple TV series Slow Horses, including Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott-Thomas and Jonathan Pryce. Actor Nicole Nabout will talk to Christopher about his journey from acting training at St Martins Theatre in Melbourne to his role as Roddy Ho in one of the most prestigious and well received television series of the last decade. In addition, Christopher is currently seen in Steve McQueen's Blitz. There will be plenty of time for audience questions. Please note: This livestream will take place from 8-9pm AEDT and 10-11pm NZ time.

    Christopher is an actor who was born and raised in Australia before moving to the UK as a young adult after he completed his acting training in New York and Philadelphia. Christopher is perhaps best known for his series regular role as Roddy Ho in the Emmy award winning series Slow Horses (Apple TV+) alongside Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden and Kristin Scott-Thomas. He can also be seen as Fred in Steve McQueen's new feature Blitz (Apple) which premiered at The London Film Festival 2024 and in Series 15 of the popular sci-fi adventure series Doctor Who (BBC/Disney+). Further Television credits include The Pacific (HBO), Neighbours (Freemantle Media) and West Side Story, Waterloo Road & Doctors (all for the BBC).  Alongside his screen work, Christopher has been a stalwart of British Theatre, performing in the West End casts of Heathers and Here Lies Love. He also starred as Paris in The Globe's production of Romeo & Juliet in 2019.
  • Nicole Nabout

    Nicole is currently in rehearsals for The Australian Shakespeare 2025 production of Macbeth playing Lady Macbeth. Her recent TV credits include The Clearing (Disney+) and Return to Paradise (ABC and BBC). She performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Much Ado About Nothing for the ASC 2023/2024 in Melbourne and Sydney. Nicole was in the Australian premier of Selling Kabul at Red Stitch in 2023 and Because the Night at The Malthouse. Career highlights include playing Evie Mansour in the final season of Jack Irish, Nada in three seasons of The Librarians and Kate in Rob Connolly's film Three Dollars with David Wenham. Other film and TV credits include Angel of Mine; Newton’s Law; The Doctor Blake Mysteries; Nowhere Boys; The Time of our Lives; Offspring; Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries; Very Small Business; Blue Heelers and Last Man Standing. Theatre credits include Oil and Wakey Wakey, Red Stich; A Good Muslim Boy, Malthouse/QTC; Secret Bridesmaid’s Business, Playbox and Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream Royal Shakespeare Company. She studied with Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
