Synopsis

An opportunity to work with Nikki Zhao on the voice technique “The Call” – part of Lessac Kinesensic’s Training for the voice and body. Arthur Lessac’s voice text teaches the “feeling process” for discovering vocal sensation in the body, for developing tonal clarity, articulation and for better connecting to text and the rhythms of speech. Please note: This livestream will take place from 12-1pm AEDT and from 2-3pm for NZ members.

    Yuanlei (Nikki) Zhao is a voice and dialect coach and teaching artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Originally from Shanghai, Nikki is a bilingual coach, Lessac practitioner, a recipient of the Creative Victoria’s Creative Learning Partnerships grant and is a teacher at VCA. Nikki has worked as dialect coach on productions including: for Creative Learning Victoria: Abbotsford DNA Through Time; for NIDA: When Vampires Shop, Goldilocks; for Red Stitch: Caught, Flake; for SBS: Appetite; for Griffin Theatre: Sex Magick.
