Synopsis

What do Anthony Hopkins, James Earl Jones, Fran Drescher, and Scarlett Johansson have in common? They all possess distinctly authentic voices you could recognise with your eyes closed. In this workshop, you'll explore the unique qualities that define vocal authenticity while learning to work with your own vocal characteristics. You'll discover how to maintain safe and intelligible vocal technique while honouring your distinctive sound and finding truth in your performance. Through the dynamic intersection of voice and movement, this session will equip you with practical tools to understand and harness your authentic voice across different performance modalities for both stage and screen. As a certified trainer, Rudolf draws primarily from Arthur Lessac's methodology, integrating approaches from other renowned voice and movement pedagogues to create a comprehensive learning experience. Please note: Successful applicants will be notified if they have a place in this class and we will require at least 48 hours' notice of any cancellations so we can endeavour to fill your place. This is a 2 hour in person workshop being held at the Equity Redfern Office in Redfern. It will not be livestreamed or be available as a podcast.
