Synopsis

Join Actor and NSW Equity member Loretta Kung as she chats to Tony Auckland of Kubler Auckland Management about navigating the actor/agent relationship. There will be time for audience questions. Please note: This livestream will take place at 12pm Australian Eastern Standard Daylight Time. 2pm NZ Time. You will be sent a Zoom link before the event.

    Tony’s career in the arts industry has spanned many areas – actor, director, producer, teacher, agent. Initially studying acting under Hayes Gordon at the Ensemble Theatre, he then graduated from the NIDA production course.  His first job post NIDA was as production manager at La Boite Theatre in Brisbane.  Following this he worked in Sydney directing student productions at Ensemble and was a part of establishing a school’s touring Shakespeare company.  In 1988 he was invited back to Brisbane to take up the position of Director of La Boite’s Youth Theatre. In 1992 with his partner Jenni Kubler he established Kubler Auckland Management and since then has represented actors throughout Australia.
  • Loretta Kung

    Loretta Kung is a bilingual Chinese Australian actress born in Hong Kong known for TV roles in the recently released Netflix show “Irreverent”. Her performance in the three seasons of SBS TV series “The Family Law” lead her to receiving multiple awards for MEAA Equity “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series”. Her theatre credits include Porpoise Pool (Bite Productions - Belvior 25A), Bright Half Life (Travel Theatre), Julius Caesar (4MBS production) and Six Characters in Search of an Author” (Heartbeat Theatre). Her love for weapons, martial arts and performing her own stunts lead to her becoming a graded Stunt Performer in 2021.
