Synopsis

All Equity members are invited to observe/audit our upcoming Zoom livestream class with Julian Curtis as he works directly with actors on comedy scenes on Wednesday 28th June. Whilst you will not be able to participate in the class there will be time for your audience questions. Please note: if you have already applied to take part as an actor there is no need to register as you will be sent a zoom link for the session.   This will take part at 10am-11.30am Australian Eastern Standard Time and 12-1.30 pm NZ time.

  • Julian Curtis

    Julian Curtis is a Los Angeles based actor and NIDA graduate. He has just wrapped the male lead role in Australian feature ‘First Moon’ and can be seen on Paramount + as a series regular on the latest series of ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark’. As an acting coach, in addition to MEAA and private clients, he has worked for NIDA, QUT, AAFTA, The Factory, National Theatre and Toni Higginbotham Casting. He is a previous recipient of a Marten Bequest Award, won a Matilda for his role in ‘True West’ and was a finalist at Just For Laughs Montreal. As a writer, he has been produced twice by Screen Queensland: 'Power the Kid' and 'And the Winner Is'; and his first play ‘Legacy' was accepted into Playwriting Australia’s National Workshop in 2017 and performed at Laboite HWY in 2019.
